Everyone knows a saboteur, they could be a coworker, a spouse, a parent, or anyone you associate with on a daily basis. Giving into a saboteur while on a fitness and nutrition program can have a very negative impact on your goals. The saboteur will do whatever possible to ruin your day and get you off track from your plan. They are the coworker that offers you horrible leftover desserts from potluck they just attended or the person in the office that loves to get everyone to go in on takeout from that not so healthy Chinese food from the "place around the corner". Or that guy that brings 2 dozen bagels and two giant tubs of cream cheese for the office. Also, be very aware of the husband or wife saboteur, there is always a little bit of insecurity when you start to make drastic changes with your diet and exercise and your husband or wife is still stuck in the rut of eating junk food and not exercising. Being able to recognize the Saboteur will keep you going in the right direction. Understanding the psychology of what they are trying to do will help you to stay on path to your individual success.
